The Carson Legacy: Jasper chap. 2.8--1870s

Oh siiiiimseeeelf!
 WHAT are you DOING?!!!
Heather: "Just...um...getting a tattoo? I'm not too sure either..."
No it's fine, really. Actually I'm more concerned about what he's doing since you're getting an ankle tattoo.
Heather: "Yeah...I'm going home now."
We've really got to get back to the 1870s. You know that, right?
Heather: "Huh? No! Don't make me go back!"
Heather: *clings to zebra print* "I can't go back!!"
We have to. We have to get back to the Carsons now.
Heather: "I'm going to miss this place."

The funeral is set. Ma will be missed. Daisy and Violet are happy, gurgling babies; they don't really know that anything is different. Minnie and Cora, however, are old enough to miss her...

Cora: "Grandma's gone."

Minnie: *sobs* "She taught me how to walk!"
Jasper: "I'm glad you and Thomas could make it, Caroline."
Shark: "I think my invitation got lost, but don't worry 'cause I'm here!"
Lolly hates you, you're not supposed to be here!
 Elias & Amos: "Too...many...people!"
Mel: "Babies."
Grant: "Mel did ya hear? My grandmother died."
Mel: "I kinda got that when ya invited me to a funeral."
I took this picture to show that Elias and Amos look exactly alike. I just realized that Caroline is also identical to them (except for being a girl). Remember that Nathan is dead? For unknown reasons, Elias is not even an elder yet.
Minnie & Mel: "Grant is blocking the way to the food!"
Grant: "Am not, people!"
Lolly was unseen at the funeral because she was taking care of the babies. Now she's growing up!
Lolly:  O_O  "I don't look any different, right?"

Anyway...I'm sure you're very curious who won the heir vote. Right? Right.
Results:
Grant: 0 votes.
Minnie: 5 votes.
Cora: 4 votes.
Daisy: 3 votes. Plus 2 votes from my heir poll forum.
Violet: 0 votes.
There was also 1 vote for double heir ship with Daisy and Violet.
So the vote ended up tied between Minnie and Daisy. Who did I pick? I picked Minnie because I like her genetics and I like her personality, too. It actually looked like it was going to be Daisy for sure, but in the last hour of the poll, Minnie got three more votes. So thank you, last minute voters!
Cora just HAS to grow up before Minnie, even though Minnie is the older twin.

Well she's...interesting looking. Cora gets the born saleswoman trait.
Now, because I want the twins to be the same age, Minnie has to use a cake.
Cora: "I didn't get a cake."  :/
That's what you get for having a glitched age.
Why's the lighting all weird? And the cake's burnt? What...
A FIRE?!!! This has never happened to me with the cake before!!!
Minnie: "My grandma's dead. Am I gonna die, too?"
Run, Minnie, run!
Looks like this is a job for Grant, my brave sim! *forgets that Cora is also brave*
That...is a very unfortunate way to hold the fire extinguisher.
I discovered that once a fire starts, babies have to stay where they are. Since Daisy was in Lolly's arms, she has to stay there. And Lolly can't move.
It's hard to tell because the chair's in the way, but Grant is holding the fire extinguisher correctly now.
Grant: "There's a fire raging through our kitchen. Is that really all ya can think about?!"
Yes.
The fire is already out. If I didn't have brave sims in my household, I would be really mad at you.
 Jasper: "Haha everyone's tired now."
Yay Minnie! Now eat and go to bed.
Minnie: *comes in from washing dishes* "Is Pa alright?"
Yes, yes, he's fine. Go to bed.
 Ooooh.
Grant: "There was a fire at my house last night!"
Mel: *distracted by Grant's muscles*  :D
Grant: "So I yelled for everybody to get out of the house! Then I put it out myself."
Mel: "You're a hero!"
 *kiss*
Now that Elizabeth is dead, the family is allowed to have a toilet necessary in the house. And because I like when other people do this, a birds-eye view of the house:
 First floor.
 Second floor.

Third floor. Basically just Jasper and Lolly's room up here, but I may turn the extra space into bedrooms at some point.
 Yay for the toddler stage!

This is Violet. I would like to remind you that Violet is the younger twin. WHY? Why does this happen with all my twins?!
 Jasper: "Birthday time."
Cora: "Pa's no good at putting babies down for their birthdays."
 Cora: "C'mere Daisy."

Cora: "You'd like ta grow up over here, wouldn't ya?"
Ok Cora, don't be so picky. The important thing is that they aren't babies anymore.
Violet: *is lonely*
 So here's Daisy.
Ok Grant. Change her diaper this one time and I promise you won't have to do it again.
Grant: "Fine."
 Are you enjoying this?
Grant: "What? No..."
You can't fool me! I see that happy memory!
Jasper: "It's time to use the necessary!"
 Violet: "Mmph. Naw!"
Let's check out the town! This is another kid that Jenni Jones-Brown had. I've been wondering who the father is.
Caroline: "I'm just saying you shouldn't be ashamed if you have to beg for your job back."
Thomas: *ignores*
Townie: "But...face-ones shouldn't have tattoos! It makes them look awesome when they're not!"
This is Ezio and Scarlett's daughter, now a child. She looks weird later as a teen.
Now that both her parents are dead, Faye is living alone in the big Knack house.

It just seems lonely to me, especially with her a teen, so I keep making Jasper try to ask her to move in. But it takes forever, and since she has a part time job (Burial Specialist), she always runs off for school, or her job, or home because it's too late for her to be out.
Lolly: "Time to use the necessary!"
 Violet: "Mmph. Aw'wight."
Christopher is a teen! I think he came home with Cora. You must be kidding me with that hair.
Much better. He actually looks good now.
Cora: "Hey I'm a little short on simoleons..."
Christopher: "Well, here! Take two simoleons!"
Cora always wants to mooch from him.
Then Cora went to take a nap, so Minnie swooped on him while he was in the lean-to. They had a whole conversation about beds.
Christopher: "Yeah, I love beds. And everything you can do in them."
Ahem.
 Cora: "I'm great, y'know?"
Minnie: "It would be more convincing if someone else said it."
Cora: "I love bugs; don't you, Chris? I'm sure Minnie loves bugs, too. If she found one in her macaroni, she'd probably love it!"

Christopher: "Blech!"

Next time: Teaching the toddler skills! And more stuff happens with Christopher.
